We are thrilled to announce that "Becoming Better Ancestors: 9 Lessons to Change The World" will be prominently featured at the American Public Health Association (APHA) 2023 Annual Meeting & Expo November 13-15, 2023, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. This premier public health event promises exciting opportunities to engage with public health experts and advocates, fostering both personal and professional growth.
In his address, Dr. Foege underscores the timeless lessons derived from the triumph over smallpox. He adeptly weaves this historical victory with contemporary health imperatives, illustrating that the wisdom of "The 9 Lessons" can be useful across all of global health and many other disciplines.
During APHA’s Annual Conference, with over 12,000 attendees, at the largest gathering of public health professionals in the world, we deliver our largest event to date featuring training sessions for teachers and professionals, book signings, and premiere new segments with a panel of some of the most influential public health leaders working today.
As a teaser event to the lanch of Becoming better Ancestors, we visit with two public health icons as they discuss 9 Lessons to Change the World—nine proven, simple, reliable ways to create positive change consistently as we all tackle ever more complex problems across human societies.
The Becoming Better Ancestors team officially launched the Becoming Better Ancestors project during TEPHINET's 11th Global Scientific Conference in Panama City, Panama in pilot form. It was a fantastic venue to screen the first segments and the response from the global health community was overwhelmingly positive.
